Franco Baresi, honorary vice president of AC Milan, made some statements on 'Radio Sportiva' regarding the passing of legendary defender Franz Beckenbauer.

"It's a sad moment. Beckenbauer has left us. An icon, a legend, an emperor in how he interpreted his role. I admired him: technique, personality, elegance."
Baresi added:
"A true idol for generations. He was a source of inspiration for me. When they compared me to him, I felt uncomfortable. His death is a great sorrow for me."
