AC Milan lost at the San Siro against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia quarter-final. They scored the first goal of the match. However, Gian Piero Gasperini's team made a comeback thanks to Teun Koopmeiners' brace.
After the match, Giorgio Furlani spoke to Sky Sport Italia. The Rossoneri CEO had the following to say:
"It's very disappointing because we wanted to remain in contention in all possible competitions. We believe we can do better in Serie A as well. Tonight, there were negative incidents that unfortunately penalised us. But not everything is going wrong, and we remain focused on the present with clarity and the desire to do well."
Can Milan's transfer market still bring surprises? Furlani replied:
"The transfer market has been open for 10 days. We have just added two defenders with Gabbia returning and Terracciano. We are always ready to seize other opportunities. If there are opportunities, we will take them."
