After the Champions League and, presumably, the league, Milan has also seen the Italian Cup slip away.
Now, the Rossoneri realistically have only two attainable objectives: one is to finish among the top four in the league and return to the elite Europe; the other is to go as far as possible in the Europa League.
Stefano Pioli will certainly be trying, as Tuttosport published in this morning's edition... He still remains in his position.
Today's headline reads:
"Milan doesn't change. There's a Champions League to reach."
In fact, the defeat against Atalanta hurts, but the club is with the coach. There will be no revolution: the goal is to secure qualification for the Champions League and minimise the damage.
At the end of the season, it will be time for assessments.
