Ignazio Abate, coach of AC Milan Primavera, commented on the home draw (1-1; the Rossoneri's goal was scored by Alessandro Bonomi) against Torino through the club's official channels. Here are his statements:
"We played a very good first half against one of the teams competing for the title. A well-structured team, physically strong, playing man-to-man across the field... We had a very good first half. We had three or four chances to take the lead, and that is the real regret: we didn't steer the game in our favor. In the second half, Torino came out strong in the first 15-20 minutes. They took the lead deservedly, but then we had a great reaction and even had the chance to win the game. I congratulate my boys; we are on the right track. Let's continue like this."
Abate continued:
"There's a good spirit, a great relationship with the players. They are young guys who give it their all with the right mindset. The substitutions were good; I am really pleased with them. I thank Pellegrino, an exceptional guy who has put himself at our disposal every day and had a great game from my point of view. We just need to keep going. The mood in the locker room wasn't right, and that's a sign of mentality. They wanted to win, but we tried until the end. Even playing on a not-so-great and heavy pitch, coming back against a team like Torino is not easy because they defend very compactly and have structure. The boys had patience; they found the equalizer and threw their hearts over the obstacle. Today it wasn't enough, but we'll prepare for the next one."
