Ismael Bennacer did not take the field yesterday in the 2-2 draw between Algeria and Burkina Faso, but he watched the match from the stands due to a muscular issue suffered in the hours leading up to the game.
As reported this morning by Tuttosport, the medical staff of AC Milan immediately reached out to the Algerian national team's medical staff to assess the midfielder's condition, which does not seem to be a cause for concern.
Speaking at a press conference after yesterday's game, Algerian coach Djamel Belmadi addressed Bennacer's physical issue and said the following:
"Ismael Bennacer felt a muscular problem yesterday, which prevented him from playing today. He underwent an MRI scan, the results of which remain confidential. He is feeling better, but we still do not know if he will be available for the next match."
