AC Milan continues its search for a central defender. The three key defenders Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, and Malick Thiaw are still out, and the Rossoneri's coach wants to add a new addition in that department. There are four names in the radar of the club.
As reported by Il Corriere dello Sport this morning, the English market currently offers the most solutions, with some big clubs possibly wanting to offload surplus players.
The Milan management is closely monitoring at least three profiles. An interesting operation could be for Trevoh Chalobah of Chelsea: he hasn't played this season due to an injury, but a deal similar to the one that brough Tomori to the club could be ideal. Moving on to another London club, the profile of Jakub Kiwior is being considered; a year ago, he was sought before his move to Arsenal. The English club is not convinced about the loan, but there is hope for an opening in the final hours of the transfer window.
High demands
There are two more names on the high-priority list at Casa Milan. The first is that of the experienced French defender Clement Lenglet, currently at Aston Villa but on loan from Barcelona. Then there's Lilian Brassier, a defensive pillar for Brest, surprising everyone in Ligue 1 with a remarkable third place. For both players, the obstacles lie in the form of high demands from their respective clubs. For Lenglet, an agreement needs to be reached with Barcelona to pay a very high salary.
As for the younger compatriot Brassier, the club's asking price is high: no less than 10-12 million euros. Moncada has been following Brassier for five years, and if there are openings from Casa Milan, a last-minute attempt could be made.
