The work of the AC Milan club management is ongoing these days as evaluations and meetings take place regarding the transfer market window.
On one hand, Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio are working on multiple fronts to find the ideal profile to bolster the defensive department. On the other hand, there are considerations regarding contract renewals as well.
In fact, Serbian defender Jan-Carlo Simic has made appearances in the first team due to his personality and quality.
According to what is reported by Calciomercato.com, the former Stuttgart player will soon extend his contract until 2028. The negotiation is now in the final stages, with Milan having rejected several loan requests from different Serie A teams.
As for Simon Kjaer, however, the situation is different. His contrac with Milan runs until the next summer. The player, for his part, would like the opportunity to remain and extend for two more years. The club management do appreciate the leadership skills of the Dane. But, the most concrete scenario is that he should leave once his contract expires.
What about AC Milan's striker Olivier Giroud?
Similar to Kjaer, Giroud's contract is also set to expire in June. The parties have not yet begun concrete discussions about the renewal, despite the mutual desire to continue together. Olivier still makes a difference despite his old age. The Frenchman's priority remains Milan, even though the calls from MLS are becoming increasingly insistent and the former Chelsea man could choose to end his career there.
