Speaking to Sky Sport Italia studios, Italian journalist Emanuele Baiocchini provided an update on AC Milan's incoming transfers, once again emphasizing the interest in Merih Demiral.
This profile is seen as the right opportunity to exploit in January to reinforce the defense for the upcoming second half of the season. However, there are several obstacles that should not be underestimated, as confirmed by the journalist who stated:
"If the opportunity arises, Milan would seize it to sign a strong player from now until June. Demiral could be that opportunity. However, there are a series of obstacles: the Turkish player has gone to play in Saudi Arabia and earns a substantial amount, if I'm not mistaken, 13 million euros net per season, a sum that Milan could never afford. Nevertheless, they are trying, considering that the Saudi Pro League is currently on hold. Al-Ahli, however, has not opened up to a transfer, although this possibility has been discussed through intermediaries. He is doing well after the injury, but he would need to bounce back even after the injury."
