AC Milan did not find the right opportunity in the winter transfer window to reinforce the centre-back position in Stefano Pioli. Now, we are awaiting the return of Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw, and Pierre Kalulu.
Tosin Adarabioyo, however, could be an interesting profile in the summer mercato, when he can be signed as a free agent as his contract with Fulham expires once the ongoing season ends. The player in question stands at 196 centimetres tall. He is a 26-year-old Englishman with Nigerian roots.
Reports from England reaffirm that the Manchester City academy product hasn't opened talks for renewal with the Fulham club, after having already turned down extension offers last season. Bad news for Fulham, which signed him from City in 2020 for £2 million (approximately 2.3 million euros) and had the opportunity to sell his services to Monaco last summer.
Milan is heavily interested in Adarabioyo and is pushing to advance contacts to beat the competition; he has also been followed by Tottenham and West Ham. But how much does Tosin earn? As stipulated in his expiring contract with Fulham, the defender earns around £2.4 million gross per year, just under 3 million euros, as per Calciomercato.com.
Adarabioyo can a zero-cost opportunity next summer that Milan wants to seize, but he's not the only profile they worked on in January and could revisit in the coming months.
There's also the option of Lloyd Kelly, a left-footed central defender of Bournemouth (He can also play as a left-back, and he stands at 190 centimetres tall and is 25 years old). Like Adarabioyo, Kelly is also out of contract, but the competition is fiercer as Juventus and other English clubs are also interested in him.
