Charles De Ketelaere has certainly disappointed expectations in his first year at Milan. In the summer, the Belgian chose to go to Atalanta to relaunch himself. In Bergamo, with Gasperini and less pressure, his talent has been rekindled. The former Club Brugge player discussed this matter with the 'Sportweek' magazine.
Here are his statements:
"At Atalanta, I found myself physically and mentally. There were 'clicks' in my head and I started over. Compared to Milan, I play in my true role, as a forward. I don't know what will happen in the future, but right now I feel I'm there."
De Ketelaere added:
"Today I feel like a serene, confident, proud player. My job isn't finished, but I'm on the right track."
This season, the AC Milan loanee (who is at Atalanta with an option to buy set at 23 million euros plus bonuses), has managed to score 9 goals and provided 7 assists to his teammates in 26 appearances with 1577 minutes played in total between Serie A, Coppa Italia, and UEFA Europa League.
