Emanuele Calaiò, former Napoli footballer, has given some statements to 'Canale 21', talking about the future of Stefano Pioli, AC Milan's coach.
The former Serie A player mentioned he heard that the president of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis, had already contacted the Rossoneri coach for the next season. Here are his words, as relayed via Pianeta Milan:
"I've heard rumours that Stefano Pioli has been contacted by De Laurentiis, now we need to understand if it will be just inquiries or not. Napoli could aim for an experienced coach, who has already coached big clubs, like Conte or Pioli himself. Or they could try a long-term project with a young coach, like Italiano, Dionisi, Motta, Palladino, Farioli. I wouldn't mind Pioli for Napoli, but I would prefer an innovative coach, who uses a formation based on the analysis of game situations and opponents. Conte, on the other hand, is someone who works on all aspects, he wants to have total control. At Milan, he would have a free hand, at Napoli, I don't think so…".
