AC Milan's Alessandro Florenzi spoke to the various media outlets this evening in a press conference ahead of the Europa League second fixture of the round of 32 against Rennes. Here are his words:
"The defeat against Monza? We try to turn the page after every match because each game is a story in itself, whether it's a win, a loss, or a draw. We know the mistakes we've made, and we're determined for tomorrow's match."
You're one of the most experienced players. Did you say anything in the locker room, especially to the younger players?
"No. We're determined for tomorrow. We know what we want and what we need to do on the field. We're in good shape: aside from Monza, we've had excellent results. We're on the right track to have a good run in Europe: tomorrow's game is important, and it's not over."
How much are you working, and can the consistency of this year bring you back to the National Team?
"I know my strengths and weaknesses, which I've always tried to improve. The consistency this year comes from the daily work that has helped me find good form. I need to keep going like this, primarily for Milan, and then if the call-up comes, I would be happy."
What's a fond memory in the Europa League, maybe one of your goals?
"If I remember correctly, I also scored a goal against Austria Vienna. The nicest anecdote might be the one to be written this year: a desire and ambition that I have, I would like to achieve it with Milan."
