Franco Baresi, interviewed by Sky Sport Italia after the Europa League round of 16 draw, spoke about the Rossoneri's next opponent, Slavia Prague:
"At the bottom of the draw, we had a 50% chance of getting Bayer Leverkusen, it went well, but we must not underestimate Slavia, they are a solid team. They had an important group stage with Roma, so we must prepare well. In Europe, you have to respect everyone. Milan must aim to go far."
On the defeat against Rennes, Baresi said:
"It's always disappointing to lose even if it was a painless defeat. We need to concede less. Having won 3-0 in the first leg, perhaps the focus wasn't at its highest, but we know that in the next round, we should perform well both home and away."
On conceding too many goals, Baresi said:
"Everyone needs to do more. We need more intensity and attention. The team needs to be more compact. We create a lot but concede too much. We need more focus and spirit of sacrifice. Milan creates a lot, we have the men to do well going forward."
On the Europa League, he said:
"Where do I position Milan? We must always be ambitious and aim to go as far as possible. If we are in good shape, we can compete with anyone. We must believe in ourselves; we have the quality to aim for great achievements."
On the team, Baresi:
"The team needs to grow in general. We are an offensive team, but we must be more compact, united, and convinced. We hope all the injured players return soon, so the coach will have more options."
