Gerry Cardinale, as he said in an interview which was released yesterday, is open for new investors from the Middle East region in the club in the form of partnerships, stadium partners, or minority shareholders. However, he does not intend to give up control of the Rossoneri club.
As pointed out by La Gazzetta dello Sport, this is the first time Gerry Cardinale has officially opened the door to a partner entering Milan. RedBird's interests in that area are well-known: the American fund has an agency in Dubai, an office in Abu Dhabi, and is waiting to open an office in Riyadh.
The goal of seeking new parties willing to invest in the Rossoneri club is very simple: to build a stronger Milan, a Milan that generates more revenue to reinvest in the club. And in the Middle East, money and the desire to invest in sports, particularly football, certainly abound.
