In view of the coming match against Atalanta, former AC Milan head coach, Arrigo Sacchi, commented this way on the Serie A clash:
"Milan-Atalanta promises a spectacle. They are two teams that do not hold back: they have courage and give everything they have. I hope we can enjoy ourselves: we need football to give us some beauty and serenity. Pioli and Gasperini are good, they have proven it on the field. Milan and Atalanta, when they are in good form, play good football: proactive, aggressive, in line with the European mentality."
On Stefano Pioli, Sacchi said:
"In my opinion, he's doing well. So far I would give him a 6.5 rating, but he has the potential to reach a 7 or even an 8. The problem is that they brought him many new players and it takes time to integrate them all. He tries to rotate them and sometimes, when those who play less come in, the team stretches, widens, and goes into crisis. It's normal, but the judgment on the coach doesn't change."
On Gian Piero Gasperini, Sacchi said the following words:
"He is a master. In past seasons, he has achieved a true masterpiece. Credit to the club that supported him and identified him as the right man to achieve certain objectives. Playing against Atalanta is like going to the dentist: Pioli said it yesterday and Guardiola said it even before. It's an extremely difficult team to face", as relayed by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
