AC Milan tried to sign Arda Guler last summer. However, they had failed in their attempts as Real Madrid won the race for the 19-year-old attacking midfielder (who can also play as a right-winger). The former Fenerbahce playyer arrived to Spain and there was a lot of expectations on him. but, he has found very little playing time: only 92 minutes played overall.
Therefore, the Spanish giants are now considering to let their young talent leave on loan in order to give him room to display his qualities and improve further.
It's a bit like what happened a few years ago with Brahim Diaz, who was loaned from Real Madrid to AC Milan, where he played for three years before returning to Madrid where he is doing well for himself now.
Guler, as reported this morning by Tuttosport, has been offered to the Rossoneri by Florentino Perez, who would like to replicate the Diaz deal. And among those who "root" for this operation is also Vincenzo Montella, Turkey's national team head coach, who could observe yet another of his gems in a top Serie A team, after Hakan Calhanoglu and Kenan Yildiz.
At the moment, it must be said, it's just an idea, there's nothing concrete yet. The option would be welcome at Casa Milan, although the Rossoneri would like to include better, or at least more favourable, conditions in the club agreement than what happened with Diaz.
