"Today is a special day. As the Milan Foundation, we are proud and happy to have started this sports space project for young people in this neighborhood. We know how important sport is for young people to come together; sport conveys important values and principles."
On his memory of Davide Astori, Baresi said:
"We are proud that this Space is named after him, whom I knew and coached when he was at Milan. He was an extraordinary guy who knew how to convey important values and was an inspiration to many boys who approached football. Undoubtedly, we are very happy that this Space is dedicated to Davide."
