This morning, La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper offers a further new development on the investigation regarding the AC Milan, with current CEO Giorgio Furlani and ex executive Ivan Gazidis searched and investigated regarding the sale of the Rossoneri club that took place in 2022: they are accused of obstructing the exercise of the functions of public supervisory authorities and this hypothesis is put forward because according to the investigators, Elliott are still owners of the club, despite both the Singer family fund and Cardinale's fund, as well as Furlani himself yesterday before the match, denying everything. However, today La Gazzetta's headline reads:
"Hunt for the mediator. The prosecution is looking for the RedBird man negotiating with the Arabs."
According to the information gathered by La Gazzetta, the Prosecutor's Office also conducted a search "at third parties," against a person not yet investigated and who may be linked to talks between Milan and Arab investors.
According to the source, if it were proven that this "mediator" is connected to Elliott, then it could be proven that the former club owner still has control over the AC Milan club.
