Olivier Giroud has given an interview to French outlet Canal+ in which he stated:
"What would I change in today's football? What bothers me a bit is the VAR. It already takes time, they make you wait, and mistakes can still happen. I would like us to find a fair way to regain some spontaneity."
During the interview, the AC Milan striker, whose contract with the club expires at the end of this season, did not rule out participating in the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics as an overage player for the French national team:
"I don't want to take the place of coach Henry. But I think the three players he would like to have among the over 23s, namely myself, Griezmann, and Mbappé, could be a good idea. But will it be possible? That's another question."
