AC Milan's 37-year-old striker, Olivier Giroud, is very close to making the move to another club, out of Europe as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
According to the report shared by The Athletic, the LA FC outfit are finalising the deal to sign the Frenchman.
The agreement would be for Giroud to join LAFC this summer as a free agent. He would join the MLS club after the Euro 2024 competition, which runs from June 14 to July 14, 2024. MLS’s summer transfer window opens on July 18.
The guaranteed portion of the deal runs through the 2025 MLS season, as per sources at The Athletic. LAFC has his MLS discovery rights, meaning they have priority to sign him ahead of any other MLS club.
The French international and AC Milan star has won the Scudetto in 2022. Giroud, in fact, remains a very important member of Stefano Pioli's team. He has played a total of 2640 minutes so far this season. He has scored 14 goals and 9 assists in the 36 matches played so far across all competitions (Serie A, Coppa Italia, Champions League, and Europa League).
