In anticipation of tomorrow's Juventus - Milan Primavera match, the AC Milan club channel spoke with goalkeeper Noah Raveyre, who has been a prominent figure in what has been a positive season so far.
Here are the words of the Frenchman:
The penalty shootout victories against Braga and Real Madrid in the Youth League:
"Before the match, I felt good, we worked well with the team. We knew that Braga and Real Madrid were strong. During the match, we played well, and during the penalties, I spoke a bit with the coach and then went in goal wanting to show that the team is a family. I went with the right determination and made saves, and then we won."
Adapting to Italy:
"When I arrived, I didn't speak Italian. I was alone, and it was a bit difficult. But slowly, I learned the language and how things work in Italy, which is different. When I played, I wanted to show that I was ready."
The role of the goalkeeper according to Raveyre:
"For me, a goalkeeper should be someone calm, who brings serenity, it's a different role from the others. When you play with your teammates, you want to help the team in decisive moments with your composure. A calm and serene goalkeeper transmits positive energy."
How do you work in Italy?
"We work well and hard. When I arrived, I worked with the coach and saw that the goalkeeper works a lot. I learned the Italian way of doing exercises, I also went to train with the first team sometimes with Maignan, who is also French. I spoke a bit with him, I like how he plays, he's a fantastic goalkeeper. I learned how to move between the posts. When I arrived, I was a bit stiff, and the coach asked me to be more 'flexible.' We worked a lot, a lot, a lot, and slowly I understood what he meant. Also technically with the ball, I was a bit crazy, I always wanted to play fast, and the coach asked me to be a bit calmer. I also watched the others, worked, and learned."
The path in the league:
"We have to think game by game, slowly. We have Juventus and then 10 more matches. We have to work together, for me, the team is a family. I arrived here alone and found a family. Now we have Juventus, Sampdoria, the Youth League... We work calmly, game after game, I am convinced that we will do great things because we have a very quality team. We can do something truly great, both in the Youth League and in the league."
