Speaking on Sky Sport Italia, Giuseppe Di Stefano talked about Milan ahead of the home match against Lecce in the league:
"There will be changes against Lecce. Apparently, Gabbia could return from the start. Instead of Loftus-Cheek, Bennacer could play in the trequartista role, but also consider a different hypothesis: rather than a 4-2-3-1, we might see a 4-3-3, with a slightly deeper playmaker, for example, Adli on one side with Musah and on the other side with Bennacer. This could also be a way to allow Reijnders to rest, considering his recent commitments with the Dutch national team, as well as the match against Fiorentina."
The journalist continued to talk about the Milan squad:
"So, Milan now have solutions and clearly want to exploit them all to approach the matches against Roma, both home and away, in the best possible way. Theo Hernandez will evidently and clearly return on the left, and there is a starting spot for him. I believe there will be other rotations as well, and who knows if there might be room for Jovic in attack and maybe preserve the almost 38-year-old Giroud for the challenge against Roma."
