Matteo Gabbia spoke to Milan TV microphones after the Rossoneri's loss in the match against Roma. Here are the Italian centre-back's statements as he comments on the 0-1 result:
On feeling regret:
"I think we feel a bit bitter, but we need to stay focused... We did better in the second half. In the return leg, we'll try to put our best version on the field."
On the referee's handling of fouls, Gabbia said:
"That's a discussion you're having, I think it's inappropriate to talk about the referee at this moment, we need to be stronger than these things, we need to focus on ourselves and give our all in the return leg."
On the upcoming match (Sassuolo)
"We're expecting a tough game against a strong opponent in a heated environment. It will depend a lot on us, we need to train well, now we focus on the league and after Sassuolo, we'll think about the return leg."
On a possible handball by Abraham, Gabbia said:
"To me, it seemed like a pretty clear handball, but if the referee saw that it wasn't a handball, it's not up to me to say anything else, we need to stay focused on ourselves."
