An important meeting was held in London this morning (Friday, April 12) for AC Milan, where it was decided that Damien Comolli (current president of Toulouse) will not have any role in the Rossoneri's future. Remaining in the club will be Giorgio Furlani as CEO, Geoffrey Monacada as technical area manager, and Antonio D'Ottavio as sports director.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's role as a supervisory consultant has also been confirmed. In the event of Damien Comolli's arrival, there would have been a true revolution on his part (changing the sports director and coach) that would have taken over Milan's management. Contacts had been ongoing since late January, but today they did not lead to a final agreement or there was no willingness to give him a role with such significant weight. Evaluations on Pioli, instead, will continue until the end of the season.
Jovan Kirovski joins the U23 project with Daniele Bonera as coach. The only external figure entering Milan will be former LA Galaxy sports director, Jovan Kirovski, who brought Ibrahimovic to the United States.
This project is strongly desired by Milan, which has chosen the former defender as the technical guide. There are no more doubts, therefore, with the Rossoneri becoming the third club after Juventus and Atalanta. It remains to be understood the issue regarding registration in the league. The club will apply, and then it will be seen if they will be admitted to the next Lega Pro, with the first available slot belonging to them.
