AC Milan today takes the field against Sassuolo in the thirty-second matchday of the Serie A league: a match that comes between the double commitment of the Europa League against Roma, where the Rossoneri, next Thursday, will be called to overturn the 1-0 from the first leg.
It's not surprising, in this perspective, the headline this morning from Corriere dello Sport which reads as follows presenting the challenge at Mapei Stadium:
"Pioli thinks about Roma but can't make mistakes".
The Milan club, therefore, finds itself in a sort of limbo: on one hand, the focus is on the Europa League, on the other hand, there's a match today that cannot be messed up especially for the team's psychological resilience.
The newspaper explained:
"The attention of the Rossoneri is on the Europa League return leg. Turnover and risks against Sassuolo: Maignan out due to fatigue, Florenzi, Musah, and Jovic will play."
There will be an important turnover by the Rossoneri coach who, however, seems intent on fielding both Rafael Leao and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, evidently indispensable for the tactical setup.
