The captain of Roma, Lorenzo Pellegrini, spoke to the microphones of Sky Sport about tomorrow night's Europa League match against Milan at the Olimpico. Here are his words:
"The advantage should not condition us, we must take to the field as we did at San Siro, that is the best way, thinking of being at 0-0. This, for me, is the best path. I have already said that we played an excellent game in Milan, but on many occasions, we could have done better. That's what we'll try to do tomorrow playing at home in front of our fans.
"Europe? The journey of these years has helped us, at least personally, I have grown in many ways, often we played the return leg trying to do something more and this has helped us a lot."
He added:
"Milan are a great team and have many strong players, we know that, in the first leg at their home we did something exceptional but now this moment counts and we want to respond."
Lorenzo Pellegrini added:
"I feel the benefit from this type of play, we often talked with the coach to understand what was the best situation for me to feel more free. He gives me his indications and asks me to feel free to understand where I can find spaces and receive the ball. He lets me roam all over the field and that helps me, I feel comfortable."
"I have the feeling that this Roma is stronger than last year, we have improved. I am not only referring to individuals but to the entire team group. From training to games, I feel confident and proud to play and share the field with players and people like my teammates. I think Roma is on the right path, on the right journey."
