The Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's edition spoke about AC Milan's transfer market and the players who have the management's attention.
The Rossoneri directors, in fact, are gearing up for a summer of significant changes, with the arrival of a new coach who should play a key role in transfer decisions.
The absolute priority is the acquisition of a new center-forward, with Olivier Giroud set to depart and 22-year-old Dutch Bologna starlet Joshua Zirkzee in pole position but with negotiations still ongoing. Milan is also considering alternatives such as RB Leipzig's 20-year-old Slovenian talent Benjamin Sesko, Canadian forward of Lille Jonathan David who is 24 years old, and 23-year-old Mexican striker of Feyenoord Santiago Gimenez.
In midfield, there's a search for a defensive midfielder with 25-year-old Frenchman of Monaco Youssouf Fofana being a main target.
In defence, Milan, under the new coach, will have to decide whether to stick with Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw, and Matteo Gabbia or to invest in a starting central defender.
For the left-back position, Juan Miranda's profile could also come back into fashion at Casa Milan. He is a 24-year-old Spaniard with a contract expiring at the end of the season.
Attention, however, to the limited budget which could influence the club's choices.
