Tijjani Reijnders was interviewed by the NPO 3 TV YouTube channel.
Here are the statements from the former AZ Alkmaar midfielder:
Arriving at Milan, a team full of Dutch history:
"When I saw the list of names this club can count on, I thought I had to give my best."
On playing with 70,000 supporters at the San Siro:
"It's a magical atmosphere, they come to cheer and support you but you don't feel pressure, because when you're focused you only hear noise."
If he ever thought about climbing, Reijnders said:
"Yes, I talked about it with my father. First you start at AZ, then you get to a top club. When Milan called me, I hadn't planned anything, but it happened so quickly and I was quick to adapt. Sometimes I look back and think, 'I did well to take this step'."
The 25-year-old player is in his first season in Italy. So far, he made 45 appearances with 3421 minutes played in total. He scored a total of 3 goals and provided 4 assists.
