Peppe Di Stefano, speaking on Sky Sport 24, discussed the potential arrival of Sergio Conceiçao to the Milan bench instead of Stefano Pioli:
"Conceiçao seems to be in pole position, still under contract with Porto, but with good chances to coach Milan. Contacts have been made. He has a similar footballing philosophy to Milan's current one, so a back four, two midfielders, and three attacking midfielders supporting a striker. Sometimes this 4-2-3-1 shifts to a 4-4-2 or 4-2-4. Talks are ongoing. He's a modern coach who has done very well with Porto in recent years."
He continued to talk about Milan's situation with Conceiçao:
"He could be the right fit for Milan. After missing out on Lopetegui, other profiles like Fonseca and Amorin are also being evaluated, but Conceiçao is currently the most convincing. It's an advanced negotiation, but not yet closed or defined. His contract with Porto expires in 2028, but after the change in presidency, the coach could also change."
