The summer transfer window is approaching and Milan wants to be a protagonist once again, as has been the case in the last few windows. One name recently linked to the Rossoneri, to strengthen their defensive department, is that of Jakub Kiwior, a versatile defender from Arsenal.
Pianeta Milan spoke exclusively with journalist Rafał Szymański, editor of the Polish publication 'SportoweFakty', about this matter:
"According to me, there's no reason why Jakub Kiwior should change clubs, as long as he plays with the same regularity as this season. The situation might get complicated because Jurrien Timber will return soon, and Kuba is also competing with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiru Tomiyasu. It's clear that Kiwior has made some obvious mistakes, but he seems to be a good backup for Arsenal. In Italy, he played in various roles and performed well. Not surprisingly, his transfer was the most expensive in Spezia's history."
Another position Milan will need to address is the attack, and Sebastian Szymanski's name has been mentioned. What can you tell us about him? Does he have the potential to be a starter for such an important club?
"It's hard to keep track of all the clubs Sebastian has been linked with, but if we're talking about rumors, then yes, I think he really has great potential, even for a major team like Milan. Without a doubt, he's one of the most talented Polish players in recent years technically. We hope he performs just as well for the national team as he has for clubs. So far, he's always outperformed his 'competitors' in every club he's played for. It doesn't matter if it was Legia Warsaw, Dinamo Moscow, Feyenoord, or Fenerbahce, where he's having the best season of his life. I don't see why he couldn't succeed in one of the top European leagues. I firmly believe he could be worth tens of millions of euros."
Szymanski who is 24 years old has so far played a whopping 51 matches this season with his club, Fenerbahce. The attacking midfielder, who can also play as a right-winger, stands at 174 centimetres tall. He is left-footed and has a contract until the summer of 2027. In the 51 appearances which he made (3604 minutes played in total), he found the net 12 times. He has also managed to assist his teammates 18 times.
