André Villas-Boas is the new president of Porto. The 32nd in the history of the Portuguese club. Today he attended the inauguration ceremony.
According to Portuguese sources, the coach Sergio Conceicao was absent from the ceremony. The Portuguese gaffer is on AC Milan's list of candidates to replace current coach Stefano Pioli, and there is talk of his departure from Porto after Villas-Boas' election as president.
"Today we usher in a new era in the history of our club. An era that will have my commitment, and that of everyone who is part of my team, to elevate the good name of FC Porto highlighted by the sense of demand from all Portistas and respecting the importance of its trophy cabinet", as pointed out by Milan Press.
It remains to be seen whether Sergio Conceicao will remain as coach or not.
