In the article published this morning in Il Giornale, journalist Franco Ordine recounts the positive developments achieved by AC Milan's new ownership over the past two years, especially in terms of financial recovery. Amidst this successful management from a corporate and financial perspective, however, there have also been some discordant notes, particularly regarding the investigation into Furlani and Gazidis for a purported ownership transfer that, according to investigators, did not occur, leaving Milan allegedly still in the hands of the Elliott Fund.
Today, Il Giornale's article identifies this obstacle of the investigation as a "nuisance" for the club and emphasizes how it originated from leaking of a draft intended for potential Arab investors, which was then passed to the investigators, according to a leak reported by Il Corriere della Sera a couple of weeks ago, allegedly by Aldo Savi, AC Milan's Financial & Administrative Director. According to Ordine's report this morning, Savi was summarily sacked for this action.
