Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Slovenia national team coach Matjaz Kek spoke about Benjamin Sesko, who is a target for AC Milan in the market:
“He is the modern striker par excellence. I don't know where he will play, he will decide, but for now, I'll enjoy him this summer... We're talking about a physically strong center-forward, very strong indeed. And he's making great progress also technically, month after month. In Leipzig, he has grown exponentially, becoming more mature in his game choices. His qualities remain two: physical strength and speed. And we've seen it this year in the Bundesliga.”
Does he also have the skills of a number 10? Kek replied:
"You're referring to the goal against Sweden in 2022, I imagine. An incredible lob. Well, the important thing is that the forwards put it in any way they can. It doesn't matter if it's on the line or with spectacular goals. Benjamin is one of those forwards who represent a constant threat to opponents, regardless of the team he plays for…”
About Milan looking at Benjamin Sesko, what do you think?
“That's not a question for me. Let me explain: I'm happy with how he's growing at Leipzig and in general as a player. This way he's becoming increasingly important also for Slovenia…”
But would you see him fitting well in the Rossoneri?
“The question is whether he decides to change clubs. What I can say for sure is that whoever gets him makes a good deal. Sesko is not someone who disappoints.”
