Discussing the coaching matter for AC Milan is the Italian newspaper Tuttosport in this morning's print edition. According to the source, the chances of seeing Mark Van Bommel replacing current head coach Stefano Pioli are increasing.
In fact, he could be the right name to unify all the entire club management. The former midfielder, who played at Milan with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and won a Scudetto in the process, is much appreciated by the club directors because his teams have an interesting style of football. Van Bommel is also liked for his leadership skills as well as the significant Champions League experience as a coach, having led PSV, Wolfsburg, and Antwerp in the elite competition.
Other names, however, are still in the running, such as the two Portuguese tacticians Paulo Fonseca and Sérgio Conceição. Frernchman Christophe Galtier is also in the running, reportedly.
Meanwhile, there are no signs of openness from Casa Milan regarding Antonio Conte, who remains the most popular choice among Milan fans.
