AC Milan fan and Italian journalist, Carlo Pellegatti, spoke on the matter of a future coach of Milan for the next season to replace Stefano Pioli.

"Let's try not to be ridiculous when we talk about Milan's coach. We had dismissed all the previous names, and I had mentioned Fonseca and a 'Mister X.' Someone told me that Fonseca still had to speak with Lille and Marseille even though he was inclined to come to Milan. A reputable colleague spread the rumour about Van Bommel, and from Milan, they tell me not to be certain about Fonseca and that the profiles also include those like Van Bommel, but to remain calm. Now there is truly a Mister X who could surpass Fonseca, although Fonseca is not out of the running. It is not a two-way race between Fonseca and Van Bommel, but includes a potential Mister X."
