Paulo Fonseca is a wanted coach. The Portuguese tactician who has so far managed to lead his team, Lille, to a third place in the standings, has one more match to play this season. A victory will guarantee entry to the Champions League next season.
His future, however, is still uncertain as his contract expires this summer. He is reportedly wanted by AC Milan and also Marseille. But, as per 'Le Parisien', the possibility of a renewal is not excluded.
While it is true that the relationship with Lille president Olivier Létang is difficult, qualifying to the Champions League could smooth the atmosphere and convince the parties to continue together.
For his part, the former AS Roma coach spoke about his future by saying the following words:
"For my future, we'll see. Having the opportunity to play in the Champions League is important, but when I make my decision, there will also be other factors to consider. I will choose after the last game, but I have to think carefully, talk to my collaborators, my agent, and my family to make the best decision. If I qualify to the Champions League with Lille? I have to be honest: I will also consider other options. Whether it's here or elsewhere, I also want to progress in my career."
