Just one more week and then all doubts about the next AC Milan coach will be resolved.
The current coach, Stefano Pioli, will leave the club after almost five years during which he was able to bring the Rossoneri back to the top levels of both Italian and European football, even though some consistency was lacking at crucial moments.
In recent weeks, many names of possible replacements have been mentioned, but the characteristics have remained the same, with one particular element standing out: a foreign coach is what the club is looking for.
This was confirmed today by La Gazzetta dello Sport. There is also talk of Paulo Fonseca who continues to get closer to securing a new job at Milanello.
Lille, however, offers him a contract renewal, but he is biding his time waiting for the final move from the Rossoneri.
The Portuguese coach, besides the offer from his current club, which he led to the Champions League preliminaries this season, is waiting for AC Milan's offer and also has an offer from Marseille.
