Stefano Pioli, the coach of Milan, expressed himself in the center circle of San Siro, greeting the Rossoneri fans after his last game as the club's coach:
"Tonight is the night of thanks, so I begin by thanking those who wanted me here, who supported me, who gave me the opportunity to coach a fantastic club. Thanks to the ownership, to the employees of Casa Milan and Milanello, thanks to my staff, who did a great job, thanks to my players; to you I say that you know what I think of you, you are special and certain things will remain. Then there are all of you (the fans), you have been so many, you have spurred us on, you have stimulated us, you have given us an energy that we have tried to put on the field..."
The coach's speech is interrupted at San Siro: the whole stadium starts singing: "Pioli is on fire."
Pioli continues:
"We have lost together, we have suffered together, we have won and rejoiced together. You have put fire in my heart and it will always remain lit: I will not forget you."
