La Gazzetta dello Sport, in today's print edition, discussed the possible renewal of Mike Maignan's contract with Milan, has pointed out how, to increase the budget for incoming transfer operations with a prominent sale, it is more plausible that the Rossoneri club would sell Theo Hernández.
The newspaper did explain that this is not a necessity for the Rossoneri club management. The club has a strong stance. However, they will only part with one of its key players if it's really worth it. Potentially following the same strategy as a year ago with Sandro Tonali's departure. That is, with a record income to be entirely invested in new purchases.
Theo Hernández has many suitors, notably Bayern Munich. Now, it remains to be seen what the Rossoneri will do if an offer comes from the German club that satisfies all parties involved, especially the player.
