Today's edition of Corriere della Sera analyzes this morning how much the eight Italian teams participating in the European competitions next season will earn. As for Milan, simply participating in the group stage of the new Champions League will bring in 50-55 million euros.
This figure is obviously destined to increase based on the results (each victory in the Champions League group stage is worth 2 million euros, so a team that wins the cup can earn between 100 and 150 million), ticket sales, and the substantial bonuses from sponsorships.
With the new format, the distribution system among the 36 teams has changed, placing greater importance on participation (from 25% to 27.5%) and results (from 30% to 37.5%), while the market pool and historical ranking will be combined and reduced (from 45% to 35%).
