According to what La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, right-back Emerson Royal, currently playing for Tottenham, has given his approval for a transfer to Milan.
The Rossoneri have been interested in the Brazilian since his time at Barcelona. Now, after a season in which his playing time with the Spurs was reduced, the Italian club is back in pursuit.
The Rossoneri management has already been in contact with the player's entourage for some time, with his agent, Stefano Castagna, even visiting the offices of Casa Milan in recent days. The goal is to present the London-based club with a convincing offer from Milan.
Throughout all this, Milan has secured Emerson's agreement, as he sees the Rossoneri club as a chance to revive his career. Meanwhile, from Casa Milan, there is hope to close the deal at around 20 million euros.
The alternative is Tiago Santos, a younger and less expensive full-back from Lille: despite the 12 million needed for his transfer and the experience gained under Fonseca, he remains nevertheless the Plan B compared to Royal.
