According to SportMediaset earlier today, negotiations are ongoing beetween Milan and Zirkzee's entourage.
In fact, there is great optimism that the deal could be finalised as early as this week. For the Bologna player, who has a release clause of 40 million euros, a five-year contract worth 4.5-5 million euros per season is ready. The issue of commissions to the Dutch forward's agent, Kia Joorabchian, is also being worked on.
Zirkzee will not be the only attacking addition for the Rossoneri, however, as they have inquired about Armando Broja, a 2001-born Albanian striker whom Chelsea values at 20 million euros (he played the second part of the 23-24 season on loan at Fulham). It remains to be seen under what terms the negotiation could be structured. Obviously, if Broja were to arrive, Luka Jovic's renewal may actually be off the table.
