Tijjani Reijnders spoke at the pre-match press conference for the Netherlands - Iceland game alongside coach Ronald Koeman.
Here are the words of the Rossoneri midfielder.
"I can say that I am fresh and ready. I haven't suffered from jet lag and I am physically fresh. No, I wasn't wandering around the hotel at night (laughs). Actually, I was just watching TV series in bed, and then I would go to sleep around four or five in the morning. At noon, we had lunch, and that was my breakfast. There were several players like me, so we could spend some time together."
Reijnders concludes:
"The extra days off? It was a positive period. I recovered from the trip and spent time with my family before being away for a longer period. It's annoying that I arrived later at the training camp, but I have recovered well in the last few days. We discussed things a bit earlier, like the game plan and how we want to play. But in the last few days, I have been updated and now I am completely up to speed. Whether I will play tomorrow will be decided by the coach. During the friendly in Australia (with Milan vs Roma), I had the European Championship on my mind. I didn't seek out duels unnecessarily, and that worked."
