Milan's football market has officially started these days. Let's take a general look at what the club's future moves will be, analysing department by department.

Goalkeepers:

Antonio Mirante will leave the club as it has been announced. But he has not yet decided whether to retire or not. He could return to Parma to be the second goalkeeper.

Renewal topic instead for Mike Maignan: right now there are absolutely positive signs for the Frenchman's renewal. Milan offers him around 5 million euros to which some bonuses could be added. The distance between request and offer is not very large and should be reduced in the coming days.

Regarding the Milan defence...

Kjaer has said goodbye to everyone. There could be an option for the Danish defender at Bologna, who are looking for experienced profiles to face the next Champions League. Kjaer could also decide to return to Midjtalland, the club with which he made his debut in professional football. Between arrivals and exits, the right flank will be revolutionised: AC Milan is looking for a starter. There are few chances at the moment to get Cash, Aston Villa's full-back. The English value him at least 25/30 million euros and consider him a fundamental element for next year, especially in view of the Champions League.

Easier options are Emerson Royal and Tiago Santos, for whom Fonseca is fond of. Thiago Santos is also considered a 'crack' in the national team and, after one year, his valuation has already increased by around 15 million euros. The Portuguese was bought from Lille only last year for around EUR 6.5 million. Milan could take him for around 20 million euros. A figure in line with the club's budget.

Florenzi, on the other hand, is destined to say goodbye to his teammates: AC Milan could release him for free, anticipating his farewell one year before his contract expires: Bologna and Monza could be welcome destinations. More complicated but not impossible is the renewal of Theo Hernandez. The Frenchman earns more than 4 million euros net per year. Compared to Maignan, Milan is called upon to make a bigger and more expensive sacrifice. Theo's new contract should start at least from a base of 7 million euros. The intention of the Rossoneri is to give Hernandez even more importance, making him the future captain on the pitch. Should another right-back arrive, as the club intends to do, Theo would become the new captain, with Davide Calabria the alternative on the right flank. Hernandez is comfortable in Milan and is attracted by the possibility of becoming the true symbol of AC Milan, who could, once again, have their captain on the left flank, after a great icon like Paolo Maldini.

Milan's midfield:

This is the department that will undergo the least changes with Pobega and Adli likely to leave in the event of offers. Bennacer will not move, unless there are sensational twists and turns. On the other hand, as far as incoming operations are concerned, the focus is still on Youssouf Fofana, midfielder class 99' from Monaco. His contract expires next year, which is why AC Milan are looking to make an operation similar to those of Pulisic or Chukwueze. The aim is to pick him up for around 15 to 20 million euros. There is also interest from Paris Saint-Germain in Fofana, who would like to play in Serie A and join his national teammates Theo and Maignan. According to some French reporters who are close to Monaco, the midfielder considers the Milan project more functional to his ambitions.

Attack

Milan's attentions and efforts are only on Joshua Zirkzee. Milan have already informed Bologna to pay the release clause and are currently negotiating with the striker's agents to seek an agreement. For Zirzkee, who is eager to stay in Italy, AC Milan is the most attractive option at the moment. Although there is some distance on the agents' commissions and a future resale percentage that would belong to the Bologna striker's agents, both parties are eager to close the deal. And it is known: when there is a common will, eventually the pact takes place. AC Milan followed the Dutchman and fell madly in love with him during Bologna's last game at the San Siro, where Zirzkee scored a goal and several masterful moves.

Zirzkee should be Milan's first major purchase. A great striker to start again and to make the Rossoneri fans dream. Finally, Milan are considering taking another striker to give the future coach an even more competitive team. All this regardless of whether Jovic stays on as a third striker or leaves to play more.
