Milan's transfer market, following the official announcement of the new coach, is expected to take off now.
The management's targets are clear, with a center forward being the primary objective for the club. Additionally, they will also try to bring in a right back. However, the need for a new central defender should not be underestimated. In this regard, one of the latest profiles emerging from the transfer talks is that of Portuguese player Diogo Leite, as per Gianluca Di Marzio who said these words on Diogo Leite and also on Emerson Royal:
"We confirm a name, the contacts have continued. This is not a request from Fonseca just because he is Portuguese. It's about Diogo Leite (25-year-old left-footed centre-back of Union Berlin), with an asking price of €18M expected to decrease. There remains strong interest in Emerson Royal but there is a gap between what Tottenham is asking for and what Milan is offering. Milan will not stop at the forward but wants to secure the forward first.”
