The words of Zlatan Ibrahimovic a few days ago during his press conference at Milanello had reassured the Rossoneri fans: "Maignan, Theo, and Leao are staying." Yesterday, however, from the French training camp, came rather unexpected statements from the Rossoneri's left-back that cast considerable doubt on his stay at Milan:
"I am focused on the Euros. Whether I will stay at Milan or not, we will see later."
Words that, as reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, shocked everyone, particularly Milan fans who did not expect these statements. At Casa Milan, they have no intention of selling him, especially since, as Ibrahimovic confirmed a few days ago, Milan does not need to make significant sales to balance the books.
Nevertheless, the club has been clear since the rumours about Bayern Munich started: Theo Hernandez will not leave for less than 100 million euros.
Therefore, it would take a truly irresistible offer, somewhat like the one that came a year ago from Newcastle for Sandro Tonali. The French full-back is highly favoured by Bayern, which considers him the perfect heir to Alphonso Davies: the latter seemed destined for Real Madrid, but in recent days something has changed, and a renewal with the Bavarians is not excluded. If this were the case, then the Blancos might need a new left-back. Theo was also asked yesterday about a possible return to Spain: "At the moment, I am not thinking about it yet." At Casa Milan, they are absolutely not considering selling him; on the contrary, they are negotiating for a renewal. If Theo were to express a desire to change teams, the Rossoneri directors already have the response ready: the door is open only for a super offer, such as 100 million euros.
