Joshua Zirkzee remains the top target for Milan, who are looking for someone to fill the attacking role left vacant by Olivier Giroud. It must be said, however, that the odds for the Dutch striker might be decreasing, at least according to today's edition of Il Corriere dello Sport, the club would be willing to pay the forty million euro release clause without any problems, but there are two main reasons for the hesitation.
The first, now well known, concerns the high commission demands from Kia Joorabchian, as the super-agent wants fifteen million and does not consider any discounts, just as Milan is not willing to spend such a high amount. Secondly, the new Milan coach Paulo Fonseca has suggested a different profile for the new striker to Ibrahimovic: a true penalty area forward, more similar to Giroud in characteristics.
