According to the report, the Dutchman remains the first name on the Rossoneri management's list, although he has informed his agent, Kia Joorabchian, that he will make a decision about his future only after the 2024 European Championship. Nevertheless, the club has several backup plans and will explore different options if the deal does not materialise.
The first alternative is Jonathan David, who has been followed for some time and has already worked with Paulo Fonseca at Lille until recently. He would also guarantee a certain scoring continuity. Another name is Samu Omorodion, who poses a question mark regarding goals, having scored 8 for Alaves, but is three years younger than Joshua Zirkzee.
