Álvaro Morata, forward for Atlético Madrid and Spain, recently linked with Milan for the upcoming transfer market, gave a lengthy interview to 'El Chiringuito' focusing on his future. Here are his words on the matter.
On his future:
"I don't know if I will stay at Atlético Madrid. I have received messages from many within the club, but not from Cholo. I know Simeone very well; if he hadn't counted on me, he would have called me."
On the difficult moment he experienced, Morata:
"I don't want to go into too much detail on the subject... otherwise, it seems like I'm always looking for an excuse to complain. It's a matter of respect. I'm not talking about whether people love me or not, but in Spain, I've experienced many unpleasant moments with my family on the street. It doesn't matter how many times it has happened; it's my daily reality when I go to the supermarket with my kids or take them to their training sessions."
Morata concluded:
"Very few people truly know me, and many people I've met over the course of my life have changed their opinion of me when they've gotten to know me. I've thought quite a few times about throwing in the towel, but in the end, I think the best thing I can teach my kids is to keep their heads up in difficult times. This, for me, is a source of pride."
