After being initially the backup to goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano and later as a starter in the most recent season at Ascoli, Devis Vasquez might have another adventure in Serie B, but with a different club.
In fact, it seems that Spezia has initiated negotiations for the Colombian goalkeeper born in '98, whose contract is owned by Milan. Vasquez will need to replace the departing Bartlomej Dragowski, who officially joined Panathinaikos yesterday, and Jeroen Zoet, who will leave at the end of his contract without renewing.
Currently, Spezia only has the young players Plaia and Mascardi, and the club is looking for profiles with more experience to hand over to coach D'Angelo ahead of training camp, as pointed out by Milan News.
La Nazione reports that the negotiation is at an advanced stage, but Spezia will have to fend off competition both in Italy, where Hellas Verona in Serie A is interested, and from abroad. The Serie B side, however, is ahead in the race for the 26-year-old goalkeeper who is admired for both his physical-athletic qualities and his ability to play out from the back.
